How You Will Be Successful:

  • Own the leasing process from introduction to move-in. This includes greeting guests, identifying their housing needs, touring the property, showing apartments, explaining lease criteria, determining eligibility based on established criteria, following-up with prospects, closing the sale, completing lease documents, and inspecting units to ensure a great “move-in experience”
  • Provide supervision and coaching to the leasing team promoting an open and collaborative environment

  • Exhibit “servant-first” leadership by putting the needs of the leasing team first, providing training and development to continually enhance individual and overall work team performance, and ensuring all necessary resources are available for the team to perform at the highest level
  • Review staff performance regularly and hold associates accountable through training and mentoring.
  • Partner with the marketing team to utilize creative marketing and social media strategies thereby increasing qualified property traffic and closing ratios
  • Assist property manager with daily and weekly reports, resident communications, move-out inventory, etc. 
  • Assist with planning, preparation, and execution of resident functions
  • Support the maintenance team by inspecting grounds to ensure curb appeal and property appearance, maintain property cleanliness by picking up litter, and communicating service needs
  • Maintain positive communications with residents and provide excellent service through courteous and timely response to resident needs and concerns
  • Maintain accurate and in-depth knowledge of the property, other Mills properties and local competitors
  • Perform the duties of leasing consultant when needed (see Leasing Consultant job description)
  • Maintain a professional and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred
  • Three years’ experience in the multi-family property management or similar field with at least 1 years leasing
  • CLP or NALP certification preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills with ability to coach and mentor
  • Compelling communicator with strong negotiating, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to maintain composure against obstacles; solving problems with keen insight
  • Adept at building relationships and working in a team environment with proven track record of sharing ideas, providing encouragement, building on other’s ideas, giving due appreciation and bringing out the best in others
